Websites built to be worked on, not just launched.

Multi-page sites, e-commerce and migrations — built in-house for speed, accessibility and search, then kept in good order by the people who built them rather than handed over to a support desk.

The problem

A website is usually treated as a project that ends.

It is designed, signed off, launched, and then nobody owns it. Six months later the content management system is out of date, three plugins conflict, the mobile score has slipped, and a copy change nobody can make sits in an email thread. The site quietly becomes the constraint on every campaign pointing at it.

Rebuilds carry a second risk. A migration done without a redirect map loses the search visibility the old site had earned, and the loss is often blamed on the new design rather than on the URLs that were silently dropped.

We keep the build and the upkeep together, so a change never has to be explained to a stranger before it can be made. A site that is easy to change is one that actually gets changed, which matters more across a year than any decision taken on launch day.

What we take over

  • Multi-page website design and build, from structure to launch
  • E-commerce builds — catalogue, checkout, payment and delivery configuration
  • Staged migrations and replatforming with a full redirect map
  • Core Web Vitals work — LCP, INP and CLS measured on real pages
  • WCAG accessibility: contrast, keyboard order, focus states, labels, alternative text
  • Schema markup for organisation, service, product, article and review data
  • Service and location pages produced at scale without becoming duplicates
  • Hosting, domains, DNS and certificates set up in your name
  • Ongoing maintenance — updates, backups, uptime monitoring and fixes
  • CMS handover and training so your team can edit content without us

Where AI does the work

Applied to scale and inspection, not to architecture.

Nothing below reaches the live site without a person checking it first.

Service and location pages

Page sets drafted from a defined template and genuine local detail, so a large footprint is covered without publishing near-identical pages that compete with each other.

Accessibility and markup checks

Automated passes across every template for contrast, heading order, missing labels and malformed schema, followed by manual keyboard and screen-reader testing.

Migration mapping

Old URLs matched to new ones across large sites, with the ambiguous cases surfaced for a decision rather than redirected to the homepage by default.

A note on automation: Automated accessibility tools catch a useful share of issues and miss the ones that matter most — whether a form can actually be completed without a mouse, or whether a modal traps focus. Those are found by testing the site the way someone would use it.

How it runs

From brief to handover.

  1. Structure and inventory

We catalogue the existing pages, their traffic and their rankings, then agree the site structure and the URL plan. On a rebuild this is where the redirect map begins, not where it is remembered.

  2. Design and build

Templates are designed for the pages that carry the work — services, locations, product and enquiry — and built to be fast on a mid-range phone rather than only on a fast connection.

  3. Test before launch

Core Web Vitals, keyboard and screen-reader passes, forms, payment paths, analytics and schema validation, all confirmed on a staging environment. Launches are staged, with the redirect map applied at cutover and monitored afterwards.

  4. Handover and maintenance

Your team is trained on the CMS and given documentation. From there the site is maintained — updates, backups, uptime monitoring and performance checks — with changes made as they are needed.

Worth knowing

Hosting and domains are billed by the provider, not by us.

Hosting, domain registration, certificates and any third-party platform licences are paid directly to those providers at cost, on accounts registered in your name. Nothing passes through us, and you keep control of the site whatever happens to our arrangement.

Two honest points. A migration can cause a period of ranking volatility even when the redirect map is correct, and recovery is measured in weeks rather than days — anyone promising otherwise is guessing. And a faster, more accessible site removes obstacles; it does not by itself create demand. If the underlying issue is that too few people are looking for you, the build will not fix that, and we will say so before quoting for one.
